Adams gets his first chance in the starting XV against the Spirit this Saturday.

Head coach Darren Coleman has rung in the changes to the side that two changes to the side that defeated the Sydney Rays 36-16 last weekend at Rat Park. Tom Cusack and Mark Baldwin come into the starting XV as the two flankers, with Rowan Perry moving to the bench. Sam Figg is away training with the sevens. In the backs, Tayler Adams gets a crack in the run on fifteen, starting at five-eighth, while the in-form Andrew Deegan takes his place on the bench. Rohan O’Regan and Sam Croke will look to play their first minutes of the season, coming off what is a very strong and experienced bench.

This weekend’s fixture against the Perth Spirit is tough to predict. Despite the Eagles red hot form, that currently sees them sitting clear on top of the table, the Spirit have been consistently building, and, after their crushing 66-36 defeat of Queensland Country last start, can no longer fly under the radar as genuine final contenders. They currently sit 4th on the ladder, and are averaging over 4 tries per game.  In what will be an intriguing match, the battle of the speedsters out wide will again be influential, with Luke Morahan, Alex Newsome and Reece Robinson all finding the line consistently through the early rounds.

Stay tuned for more updates on ground location, ticketing and other information over the coming two days.
