Big Names Add Depth To CSU Country Eagles

October 9, 2014

Charles Sturt University NSW Country Eagles hooker Josh Mann Rae will return to the Buildcorp NRC this weekend, less than a week after earning his first cap for the Wallabies.

The Narromine junior will add plenty of experience to an Eagles forward pack, that will need to be at their best against the UC Vikings.

“We’re thrilled to have Bongo (Mann-Rae) back with us. It’s been an unbelievable few months and I couldn’t be happier for him,” head coach Darren Coleman said.

“However as we reach the pointy end of the season, I’m glad to have him in our side.”

Mann-Rea will be joined by fellow Wallaby, ACT and Maitland junior Nic White, who will play off the bench for the Eagles in the round 8 clash

“Nic is another great pick up, but in saying that, both our halfbacks have been great all year. Obviously as part of the Wallabies preparation its important that he gets some game time this weekend.”“McKibbin’s form of late has been to

o good to overlook and he has rightfully retained his starting spot.”

Coleman is well aware his side will need to improve on their performance from last weekend.

“We weren’t at our best against the Stars and to be honest we were lucky to get the result. Our execution really needs to improve this weekend.”

A win against the Vikings will set up a blockbuster final round clash against Perth Spirit in Dubbo the following week.

The CSU NSW Country Eagles meet Canberra at Viking Park on Saturday from 3pm.
